TODD BRIGHTWELL - president and ceo
Todd Brightwell is the co-founder of Advisors Consulting Services and serves as the President and CEO. The firm was created in 2017 to leverage the experience of the founders in providing clients with location advisory and site selection services as well as public and private economic development consulting.
Before establishing Advisors Consulting Services, Todd was the COO of the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) for more than a decade. He was primarily responsible for directing corporate recruiting and business expansion efforts and managing the State contract for recruitment services. He successfully worked with hundreds of national site selectors and corporate real estate professionals to bring valuable economic development opportunities to the State of Utah, substantially increasing both jobs and capital investment. During his time at EDCUtah, Todd also worked with hundreds of companies seeking to expand in or relocate to Utah. During the past several years, his work together with his EDCUtah colleagues has resulted in adding or retaining more than 15,000 jobs in Utah and relocating 11 headquarters. During this period, he directed numerous site selection visits. He was instrumental in nearly every deal that landed in Utah over a 10-year period. His marquee wins include Adobe, Procter and Gamble, Goldman Sachs, eBay, AMER Sports, Armada Skis, Oracle, Boeing, Hexcel, Edwards Lifesciences and West Liberty Foods.
Todd’s key participation in these activities also brought multiple awards to the state, including Area Development Magazines Golden Shovel awards as well as being named to North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers. Todd has served on many Boards throughout the state. He is currently the Executive Director of the Utah Woolen Mills “Suited for Good” foundation that provides needed clothing and career development support for men and women.
NICHOLAS DALL - vp, marketing and research
Nicholas Dall has worked primarily in the technology industry since graduating from the University of Utah. He has done extensive work in data capture and analytics with small-to-medium-sized companies. He has managed analytics campaigns for companies such as Target, John Deere, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Foot Locker while at inthinc, now inMoment. Most recently he has done work analyzing data and implementing scalable data processes at Coldwell Banker Commercial, now Colliers International.
Nick’s employment at EDCUtah saw him build the successful Global Strategy and Outreach process, which generated over 20 outreach campaigns focused on geographical and/or industry-specific metrics. His team’s efforts led to over 200 qualified leads during his the two-and-a-half year tenure. His ability to use open-source data and software to generate proactive recruitment campaigns for the state of Utah generated unprecedented success and efficiency in corporate recruiting, both in cost and response rate.
Nick’s background also includes software development, technical project management, marketing analytics, and content and lead generation. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2013 with a B.S. in Political Science and Economics.
As founding president and CEO, Cramer led World Trade Center Utah from 2006 through 2013. With his talented colleagues and strategic partners, he enhanced Utah’s international expansion by assisting Utah firms in connecting with global business opportunities, a method he employs today at Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors, which was recently acquired by Colliers International. The success of Cramer’s vision and efforts is shown in Utah’s position as the only state in the nation with positive export growth every year for the past decade, including over $19 billion of merchandise exports in 2012. These activities also include extensive national and international investment success in Utah.
During the George H.W. Bush administration, Cramer served as Director General of the U.S. Commercial Service, leading the activities of 1,400 commercial officers at over 100 embassies worldwide and 65 offices throughout the United States to expand international exports of U.S. products and services.
During his many years in Washington, D.C., he worked with US West International in developing major telecommunications projects in over 20 countries. He also served as a White House Fellow in the Reagan administration, U.S. Deputy Assistant Commerce Secretary, and U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.
Cramer currently serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards, including the World Trade Centers Association Board of Directors, Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors, World Trade Center Utah Vice Chairman, National Association of Counties, Financial Services Corporation Chairman of the Board, Economic Development Corporation of Utah Board of Directors, Utah Technology Council Board of Directors, and Envision Utah Board of Directors.
